Dow/DuPont Merger Impacts on their Agricultural Units

With Dow-DuPont's $150 billion merger closing August 31, the newly business' first spin-off could be the agribusiness formed by seed giant Pioneer and Dow AgroSciences, experts say. Matthew Mitchell said corporate spin-offs generally perform well.

"They realized — as did many other companies — that businesses can do better when they focus on one specific thing and leverage that deep knowledge in one market," Mitchell said.
